Thumbs up Via Introduces Tiny 1 Ghz Chip

At only 15mmX15mm, thats is one small chip!

"The chip runs at six watts at 800MHz and seven watts at 1GHz, claims Via, and doesn't need a fan, as you'd expect. The chip is called the Eden-N chip, and Via says it's half the size of a Pentium M and will use a 12cm x 12cm Nano-ITX motherboard."

WOW imagine the mod potential with one of those teeny nano-ITX motherboards O_O

Soon you will be able to wear these things on your wrist like a watch!! Damn that is small!!

it seems like when everything is getting smaller it will be cooler. but when you think about it when the whole computer is the size a wrist watch then there will be nothing to mod, nothing to do. like right now stuff is perfect, theres enough to see if you put a window in your case, and what you do see is cool looking. i dont know mabey there will be a new breed of modding with tiny computers but i guess we will all have to wait and see.

holy crap you could put that thing into anything. what kinda ram does it take? and where is the socket for the proc? why do they even put a floppy controler on it? you got a shot of the underside of it? that is so cool but like i said above when the mobo gets to be the size of the proc up there and the proc is 50nm wide then it wont be cool to mod it anymore.

i got the best idea with this mobo, say you have a case. (an old one you modded) and make a tiny one that looks the same exact was with this mobo, so you could have a minime.
