You are right on that. As I said before, I didnt look at the rules. I say, let the site Admins make the determination as to what to do. I didnt vote on mine, voted on a different entry. If they deem it wrong, then by all means give it to Aries. You guys are right...

Speed, I have banned your 'maylor' account permanently and your 'speed-racer' account for one week. I only banned you for one week due to the fact that you owed up to it while after a regular forum member caught you, it was before an admin/mod caught you.

Your ban will end on November 8th.

To all the entries, they looked fantastic. Thanks for participating.

Yes. I double-checked and he did indeed use the extra account to vote for the Mario entry. The short ban is simply because we found that he made a duplicate account. He was not found to be cheating the votes to help himself out. I just wanted to clarify this.

You always got watch out for newbies who join a forum for a contest as they can be sketchy at times and this contest has shown that...

Case in point; most of the time new users never read the rules:

Actually GK, that IP has seven other accounts (besides these 2) at the same IP. I went ahead and did some "slean-up" and now Speed_racer is the only one left unbanned permanently.

This is true. Do you think maybe there is a way to set it up so that the validation needs to be done from their own computer regardless of where they signed up from? If so that would seem the next logical step to possibly prevent this again.... or at least to HELP prevent it.
I apologize if I banned any legitimate accounts, maybe let a staff member know if this is the case and we can follow up on it.
