There were lots of original ideas, but I saw a few kits mixed in there (they take work, but not enough skill and talent to earn that lovely case.) So I voted for the child portrait becuase it was truley original, took a lot of time and talent, and is certainly not from a kit. (could have been "Me on a Pumpkin" software, but then they all could have).

That Pirates pumpkin was no easy chore...

Well to be honest, I didn't vote for Pirates of the Caribbean because (to me) the sign looks 'chopped.
Especially if you zoom in on it. Even different fonts for the seperate pics. One says PCAPEX.COM and the other just APEX.COM, etc.

I hope that's a legitimate pumpkin.. because that's one of the best pumpkin carvings/etchings that I have seen. But you're right about the the signs.. I didn't notice until you pointed it out that they say different things, are in different fonts, and aren't lined up with the page... I just hope it's the real deal. Could always ask him to post a pic of the pumpkin with a sign from a different angle.. like on his computer.. in front of a mirror.. etc.. just to verify if you're concerned about its authenticity.

I don't doubt that the punkin is authentic, only the carver and/or time finished

Just to clean up any questions. I jacked up the wording on the first pics that I posted. Sorry for the confusion. This is a real design that I carved last week. Here are a few more pics to close any doubts in the minds of the masses. I also enclosed my pumpkin from last year.. If there is any more doubt, let me know so I can clear it up.
