Buffalo Firestix 2 x 1GB PC2 8000 review teaser

Welcome once again to another new sponsor, this time it is Buffalo Technology.
I have received a Dual channel Firestix kit from Buffalo that is rated for DDR2 1000MHz.

Will it even boot up in my picky Asus AM2 board? Well, why don't you check my recent preliminary benchmark scores and see, lol.

SuperPi 32M - 25min 24sec 0ms
SuperPi - 29.00sec
PiFast - 41.00sec
3DMark 06 - 4761
3DMark 05 - 9988
Aquamark - 100,953

All of these scores are highest on Team PimpRig for either single core AMD CPU or single GPU, sometimes both. See how well it performs in an upcoming review coming pretty soon.

Cool, looking forward to this. I really wanted some of this RAM, but no one sells Buffalo in the UK. it should clock pretty weill as it uses the top end Micron chips.

What speed was you 1m PI time done at? I reckon I can beat it!

Just spotted this on newegg.
BUFFALO Firestix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail at Newegg.com
It's the DDR2 800MHz version of Godfoot's RAM and it uses the same IC's, should clock pretty nicely and its at a great price.
