Well it looks like they are going to have to change the ads. Like the ultra x that gets the "Pimp" award from "pimprig".

No kidding! We're going to have to change all of the links on OUR site now!

Ultra never had a problem with "Pimp" Rig. Heck... if we knew companies were giving you flack then we should've just bought up all of your ad space!

Hey, quality is quality no matter what name is on the header. Tom Sawyer would still be a great book whether it was penned by Mark Twain or Sam Clemens. There's a reason we're dropping five websites off of our ad rotations for this next year (PimpRig was never in consideration for one of them.)

Oh well. I DO understand the change and the new name does rock (thank you for not going with "PC-Climax" LOL!) I hope the transition goes as smooth as possible!

But now instead of saying somone is "PR".. what do we say? They're "PA?" I'm going to start thinking people are calling me a Publich Announcment instead of a Public Relations person!!!

HAHAH. You don't HAVE to change your links though JC. All old links will still work just fine. We made sure we would not lose those old links before doing the change over.

Well.. the logos. All of the product that's reviewed is linked back to the review site with the site's logo.

Given the state of the market these days, I can appreciate the need for change and the motivating reasons for it too... I don't have to like it, but hey - you need to either bend or break - and I'm fine with that

I'll miss PR though, no doubt about that.

Ah well - onwards and upwards... let's go give the big players a big ol' pimp smack *ahem* I mean whalloping

Wow. This is different. Take a week sabbatical to do school work and level in WoW; and everything explodes.

I retyped and hit enter about five times, before I recognized some names on the user list. I was one very confused forum goer.

I like it, personally. I can also appreciate all the hard work and anxiety that had to go into accomplishing this. I really like the new logo. Very sharp.

At least now, my roommates will stop making comments about what exactly is involved in the "pimping" of a PC.

Granted I'll mis the name Pimprig, just like alot of us here will. All I have to say to those who don't like the name change and are really ticked off about it, call the waahhhmbulence you big cry babies. A little change is good. Granted this is a pretty big change. If it helps the site to grow then hey I'm all for it. One question though. Will GK still be the "pimp of all pimps" or is that going to change too? Becuase I can't see his title being the "apex of all apexes", that doesn't sound right. If it is changed, which I'm sure it will, it should just say "The Man". You are the man GK. Do what you have to to take care of your business!

I really think its a shame the domain name has to be changed just down to the word pimp. PR was a really cool name for sure, i will certainly miss it. If its going to be good for the site though, then it obviously has to happen. Oh well the end of another era

I never liked the name Pimp rig Much. Congrats on the change I hope it brings you guys much success in the future.

The site has made some real progress in the short time since the new transition so thats excellent, especially with the new articles popping up. However I still feel the front page needs to be cleaned up a bit more.

It did feel uncomforting to brag about mods and tell people at my church the site's name is pimprig. I always had to explain the "pimp" part.
