Agreed Feral. The brainstorming was not only fun, but I was able to see just how much Gary and the staff care about the site. I know a lot of people are left wondering why it was really necessary, or even IF it was necessary. I think it was. As fun as being irreverent with our words, our mods and our hobbies is, having a name that is seen as disrespectful to certain segments of the population could prevent a lot of wonderful folks from signing up and participating in the first place, not to mention the potential review sponsors. If that happens, we all miss out. If all it takes is a simple name change to make the site more welcoming, then the choice is a slamdunk. The regulars are the same, the site is the same...all that is different now is we have some room to grow and a more inviting front door. I consider it a huge addition to the site, rather than a facelift.

I can't post a reply to a thread from the "home" page but can if I go to the same thread through "forums" first.
I can access the PM list and can reply to a PM but can not intitiate one from clicking on a profile from the home page.

Can't see the award pages form the "home" page but can when I go through "forums".

I did empty the cache and clear all the cookies...

I dont know what to say. I really liked the title PimpRig,But I understand GK that you have to do whats necessary for the good of PimpRig/ now PcApex.
This is a sad and happy day ,congrats on the new direction you've chosen.I know its for the best.
It just sucks that I never maneged to earn a Pimpin theme'd title before the change,sigh...

pcapex ... i can get use to it. Pimprig was just SO unique and perfect for the site, and the members. but change is good. what will happen to "team pimprig" will we change to team pcapex?

I for one don't like the change. My computer is a PIMP RIG , not a pc apex, whatever that is.

BTW whats going to happen to all (thousands!) of image links to pimprig urls??? Will they all be dead links? I'd be a bit concerned if this is the case?

Not sure on the new name, when I was first shown the sight the name was something that stood out and the community feel with Pimps and Hoes, +/- Rep etc etc kept me coming back. But I can see why the move has been made and i'm sure everyone will get used to it in time.

I don't like it yet. We were pimpin our rigs before MTV was pimpin rides, we were cutting edge and said a big "screw you" to polictical correctness.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see where this goes...

Same great site, different name. When i first heard about this, i thought it was a great idea, and i still do. The bottom line is that the name change should enable the site to grow and gain an even greater foothold, and we all benefit from that. More power to ya, GK

I stand 100% being GK on this. PimpRig has been needing a new name to keep us moving ahead. GK put a lot of time and money into this site only to be restricted because of the name. We are the same site, the same community, just a different name. It should make a difference to this site, and only a positive one at that. PimpRig is moving foward as PC Apex now.

I think it was a wise move and Glitterkill stepped up to the plate to make this website even better than before. I think that means, we too as members have to do the same. This is going to be interesting.

It would be a bit easier to take if at least the Accronym remained, an name like PC Revolution or something else like that would have made that possible, I certainly understand Gary's reason for the change, but I really liked to get the response I'd get when I told people the name. A name means a lot, PimpRig rings with connotations of edginess, PC Apex rings with tones of the mundane. Like I said before, I'll ride it out and see where this takes us.

Changes have to happen, I can see that it will aid the site in getting bigger and better. This can only be a good thing in the long run.

I personally like the new name. I admit its not that catchy...but if it means its better for the site, Im all for it. Im looking forward to being here through the changes that are in store for us. Im sure they will all be for the better.

The name change is proof positive that we are growing, and the change will allow us to continue our growth. It's such a petty thing, a name, what our site is about and the members are what will carry us into the future. We will get better sponsorship which means better reviews, and companies won't immediately dismiss us during introductions.

You have no idea how many problems and closed doors the PimpRig name has given us. It was fine and fun when we were smaller, but if we want a shot at the big time we have to roll with the changes. It's the same site, just called something different. Change with us and see what the future has in store or throw a hissy fit and leave. Either way we will continue to grow.

WOAH, i thought i hit the wrong button when i got here................ Although i will miss PIMPRIG , i do understand and am really happy for you GK and the staff, and all us members. I think this will have nothing but positive results for this whole community.
