Coloured Window Applique

Very nice modd over at Metku Mods

Some may say that this a ghetto mod and maybe they are right. You just have to have access to a decent inkjet/wax printer and buy some inkjet transparency films (~0.60 Ã‚â‚¬/$ each) and that is pretty much all that you'll need. I would like to think that this is simple and quite nice looking mod. Hope that this article gives you an inspiration to do this same mod for your case window or to develop this even further. There just can't be enough mods floating around so think, think and think!

i got an inkjet printer, dont know if i have the color cartridge in it though...

just go to your local kinkos.. they will do it for cheap, probably under 5 bucks..

Hmmm....

Trigun is pretty cool... but a Vampire Hunter D motif might kick some serious ass (gears are turning... I'm thinkin' this could be sweet).

don't yah hate people that dont post HOW they did something? I remember seeing a colored applique mod somewhere online and the dang guy never told you WHAT he used or WHERE he got it from, now I know how to do it

yeah i agree id love to put a Dragon Ball z theme to my window....i understand how you make the film....and oh yeah kinkos does do it, and its like a $1.50 per copy, but my main question is this...if its does on regular transparent film, one side int sticky....how do you make it stick to your window without making it look ghetto

he pretty much just put it in a plastic sleeve then taped it to the case, on the side of the windo were you cant see it. im sure there are better ways yo do it, but his aproach seemed to turn out great.

Has anyone thought about a stained glass window effect? This is probably not a new idea, but thought I would throw it out there because it would probably look really cool using this easy method.

Also on Metku Mods there's a guy, Moikko Vehkis, who made a wooden case. Has anyone else tried this or am I missing it from the galleries?

I have seen servarl wooden cases accross the net, couted at least ten or so. But it has always been a really neet idea(not for me though).......wanna make sure you have good airflow throught that puppy though, wood doenst make a very good conducter of heat.
