| We are growing and growing and simply are looking for some more talented volunteers to help PC Apex continue to grow! Below is a list of the staff positions we are looking to fill along with their expected responsibilities and how we can reward your efforts (they are not paying positions... yet ). In the past, we would take suggestions from other staff members during our meetings and then approach those people about the positions. This has worked fairly well, but sometimes it seemed the candidates would accept simply because they didn't want to say no and as a result their performance was not ideal in the job they agreed to do. To avoid that we are announcing these new positions so we can get staff that is very enthusiastic about their work and driven to perform well.News Poster - Responsible for posting affiliate news that is sent to us via email... simply a matter of posting what you get via our news address. You will get the regular PC Apex staff perks which include an increased PM box, no ads in the forum, web space for your own homepage, and the occasional review where you get to keep the product you review. To apply for this position, please send an email to webmaster(at)pcapex.com to let me know you are interested and how much time and/or which days you could post news.Reviewer - Responsible for performing well thought out and informative tests and being able to effectively communicate the results and experiences from those tests. The candidate must have a firm grip of the english language with good grammar and excellent analytical skills. Superior attention to detail is a must! Having an up-to-date PC is also a big plus. You will also NEED to have a digital camera. Reviewers get the usual staff perks plus they usually get to keep what they review. To apply for the position you will need to do a cursory review of the most recent hardware you have purchased. When I say cursory, I mean you don't need to do any in-depth benchmarks but if the items is something that can be benchmarked then I will expect at least a base set of scores. This is so I can evaluate your writing skills and assess your style. Send these reviews to webmaster(at)pcapex.com. Editor - Responsible for editing reviewer-submitted articles to correct their grammar and spelling as well as format the articles for display on the site. There is a guide written to walk you through the process but you should have some basic knowledge of HTML and/or CSS. Excellent grammatical and spelling skills are absolutely essential for this position. Editors receive the usual staff perks plus they are the first to receive surplus hardware as a result of review hardware. They also can be called upon to perform reviews themselves (but are edited by a different editor). This is the first position I plan on paying as soon as our income picks up to support it. To apply for this position you will need to send a sample of your writing (anything that shows your level of skill and knowledge with writing) to webmaster(at)pcapex.com. Game Apex Staff - Spectrum, admin for Game Apex, is also looking for some more staff to fill his ranks. He has a good amount of games (most are not A-list games that top the charts) that need to be reviewed. Once those game publishers see us covering some of their less popular games, we will get more attention for the A-list games so Game Apex can be one of the big boys on the gaming news and review scene. Are you ready to play a bunch of games and let people know what you thought about it? Want to help post news and get the word out about the latest gaming news and review? Interested in doing some "retro" reviews covering old games? Contact Spectrum via PM here at PC Apex or send him and email at spectrum(at)pcapex.com. I look forward to your submissions! I am looking for intelligent PC g33ks ready to rock... show me what you got! Last edited by GlitterKill; 30-October-07 at 06:21 PM.. Reason: Formatting | ||

| Well I Luv to review stuff. As you already know I'm on the staff of a few different sites as a Forum Moderator, but I also do quite a few reviews. I usually get CPU Coolers but I have gotten some other products lately. I recently finished a review of the Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1250W PS. It's still awaiting editing but I can send you the unedited text and pictures. And I can supply you with some links to some earlier reviews. I have one of the most up to date system available, which I keep updated, as well as a few older systems. My present spec's are: Intel Core2 Xtreme QX6700 EVGA 680i SLI 2 GB Corsair PC2 8500 (2) XFX 8800GTX (2) WD 80GB SATA HD @ Raid0 (2) Maxtor 250GB SATA HD @ Raid0 20X Samsung SATA DVD Burner 16X Sony DVD/ROM NEC FDD Cooler Master 1250W PS Cooler Master Stacker Case Cooler Master GeminII Heat Sink Vista 32-bit Home Premium On a side note. While I do sometimes keep the products I receive, I usually give them away to needy members from the site I'm doing the review for. I appreciate your consideration :-) Slay Last edited by Slaymate; 30-October-07 at 06:00 PM.. | ||

| Apex Techie II | I would love to be a reviewer. Although I don't know if the time will cut it. I wrote a review about an Alienware Area-51 7500 about a month ago and if you are interested GlitterKill then you can check it out. HardwareXL.com - Alienware Area-51 7500 Desktop Computer System Review that's the link, and it's preety long, prepare yourself for an enjoyable reading. haha. Even if you would concider me as a reviewer, because I love to review new products, I am only available over the weekends because of school. There might be days when I could get started on things after school but those days hardly ever come. You think about it. ![]() | |

| Awsome I was thinking of submitting a review of my Silverstone TJ-09, but I'd have no idea of how to do so. I can set it up just fin it front page, publisher or word with pictures and the hole shebang. It's got that nice new computer smell as I just started to get it liking me. I've been teasing the idea of submitting a review on it for a while but didn't really know how to submit it, or even if a freelance review would be welcome. I would suggest a digital camera to add to the requirements of the reviewer postition. I'll get cranking on my review of the TJ-09 and will email you. P.S. I do use spell check on anything formal I write, I would on the forms but my opinion is the spell check on the forms kinda sucks (no offence) but my spelling is just way to off for it to correct me. Yay DYSLEXIA. | ||

Hmm. I really don't think that's always true. Personally I was pretty busy yesterday doing testing on video drivers. I was busy so I just skimmed the post and made a reply. I happened to miss the email address but it's not highlighted, for spamming reasons I suppose. While I may not be selected, I'd hate to see someone skipped because they happened to be busy when they 1st read this post. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
