Well folks... after MUCH downtime, the site is back up. What happened? Well, apparently my old webhost, Dominet, said that the hard drive controller was bad and that it was corrupting files on the server. After bugging them for a couple days to get it straight, I was then recommended that I go find another web server since they were causing such a problem. I was also offered a refund on my last monthly payment (still waiting to see that come through...). You would think that they would try to fix the problem instead of giving up and kicking me to the curb. They didn't TELL me to leave. But when you recommend someone to go that pretty much says it all.

The big delay came when I got a copy of the corrupted database. It was totally unusable. So I had to bug them for another 4 days to get a back up the old database which is now what the site is running on. What I can't understand is how they went from being such an awesome provider to one that was seriously slacking.

Expect some periodic short down times while I continue to settle in at our new home and get things running as smoothly as possible.

Are there good things about all this? Hell yeah! We now have 10 times the amount of available bandwidth to us compared to what we have recently been using. Can you say "file downloads coming soon"? Of course this will only be available to registered members.

Anyways... sorry folks. I was doing what I could. I wish I could have gotten this bad mama jama up earlier but **** happens. You wouldn't believe the how much I had to cram in order to make it possible...
