Post CoolerMaster Aero 7 Lite Review

BigAkita has a new review up on the CoolerMaster Aero 7 Lite heatsink.

Check it out here.

Very nice review, as is every PR review

I'd like to see the fan mounted on a different heatsink to see how it performs compared to with a normal fan. I'd say a nice ThermalRight or Swiftech would be a good choice to compare.

A question for BA--How did you monitor the temps on the Soyo? Thermal probe or bios readings?

How easy would it be to mount the fan on another heatsink,...standard 80mm fan "hole spread"?

great review as always, bro...

Great Review, BA, but I'll stick with the Zalman 7000.

I second ZENNZZO's query. As far as just the fan goes, is it a worthwhile addition?

p.s. Clown is never going to live that down!

You would either need a block with screw holes and drill out the plastic or use hold down clips. It will fit on top but would take a little modding to get it to stay there.

I though you would appreciate that Clown.

I have the 7+... hole spread is the same, but as said... the std. 80mm fan has a depth to it, the mounts on that cooler master dont, unless you were to take a dead 80mm fan, cut/rip/break out the fan blades and motor, the arms holding it there, and get that into place (I'm thinking of an SLK/SK sink mount as I'm typing this)... clip that on, set the aero rat cage over it, and screw it down... overall, ungainly and probably needs extra support from an arm to the bottom of the case, or a little ledge from the side... something...

It could happen.

Some high tensile sticky tape would do the trick, just wrap it around and make sure it sticks good. I'd probably think of something else though, but you'd be surprised at how well tape holds. I have my 60mm delta screamer on the back of my PS2 connected with a few layers of electrical tape...holds up just fine.
