Post Zalman CNPS7000A-CU Heatsink Review

Have we got a new aircooling champ? Want the best air-cooling without the worst sound levels? This is probably the heatsink you need. BigAkita has reviewed this monster of a heatsink for you all.

Check it out here.

i have already had some experence with that HSF. My boss bought one. installed it on a 2.6C and OC it to 3.5 or so, never broke 40c even after LOADS of testing. that think just rocks....

Well, I've been looking for a new HS and didn't want a SLK 800.
Looks like its time for TiZakit to give himself a present.

Hey Chrome_Rust, is that overclock on max core voltage?

Thinking about getting one of these or maybe an slk900 but worried about them fitting on my board, gonna have to get the measurments down

nice helpful review though!

Tiz, that was my AMD testbench I mounted it on.

I love that Zalman HS, it's over-large, over-heavy, and over-kill.

Hey BA, let me know when that Aeromax goes out of the parts bin and into the trash bin. I'll trade it for a Volcano 7.

I'd love to Slider, but I got to start holding on to these to use in future reviews. I'm sure every now and then I'll "roll over" the stock, then you will be more than welcome to it.

Sweet. Thanks bro. Good review BTW. Up to the usual BA standards I've come to expect. Is it just powered straight off the CPU/Fan header on the mobo?

Yes it is just the 3 pin header from the mobo.

BA,
Great review Bro, I dig your style of reporting.
Gonna have to have one of them...They got the Zenzz, thing goin on, real good!

How could a water guy dis the quietest, best "air only" sink going?Remember there is one common goal to all cooling!! as close to ambient as possible!

Excellent review,BA!

Looks like you just found my new HSF for my Intel rig for me. Thanks!

BTW, would you recommend moving a rig that has that attached? Looks like it might be a hell of a mass to burden a CPU with.

Since it mounts using the holes around the socket, it should stay pretty solid. I wouldn't be banging a case around with this in it or you would probably end up with a window in the middle of your motherboard.
