Default How-To Fill and Bleed an Inline Water Cooling System

Our own water-pimp, Putwig has written a nice little article on setting up a sweet method for bleeding the air out of an inline watercooling setup.

Check out the article here.

i think i will do this very same thing on our boat for the a/c since it doesn't prime it self, this would do the job.

It would be grreat if you could list the actual parts, and where to find them. I hav ebeen looking all over fo the 'T' and the "Disconnects" but can't find the same 'T' and there is a wide range of 'Dry Disconnect' fittings out there.

I am 3500 kilometers from my rig. I will look for part number on the quick connects when I get home.

Everything else I used came from Home Depot.

Salex - use whatever dry disconnects you can find that fit your budget. Nothing special about the ones I used!

Yeah, you just need stuff that serves the purpose. You just don't want to use something that start to corrode

like it, like it a lot

was wondering if its a bit similar to having a temporary detatcheable res at the top of your system?

was thinking of having the inlet and outlet into the same bottle. sort of like a new res.

as I already have a good way of draining my system, but need badly to rid the air out of the current one.

sorry, does anyone have any idea whether this'll work? as i'm a complete water cooling n00b.

Good job, Putwig. I know you had been wanting to get an article on that subject posted for quite some time. It will help a lot of our "newer" members with their watercooling endeavors.

You're interested in making your own blocks? Sorry if Im wrong, there's a fourm thread that was posted in the watercooling section a while back, http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=105157, this guy builds his own system from scratch (including blocks).

P.S. You've got mail
