I have a large radiator and fan setup as well as a large gph pump waiting for my case. Should make up for the lower cooling coefficient
If that is not enough then I will try to integrate a pelt system

Duck,
I have actually been working on gathering my funds for a project just like this, but was planning on using HFE.
I am somwhat dismayed you did it first, but it would be great if you could tell me where you found this other liquid so i dont have to spend all the money I have gathered on hfe.

NIkon.

[EDIT]
I assure you I wont brag or nything about my new rig, I am creating it as a senior project (needed to graduate)
would be helpfull......

Would this fluid break down over time? What are it's effects on the plastic cables for sound, ide, monitor, power, etc...

Thanx guys,
Nikon,
You have a PM.
If anyone was wondering the same thing...define this term and look in your wallet for it.
HAZMAT Certification. Otherwise...

Duck, I can't tell them what fluid you're using, because i don't know, but i do know a low-cost version that's readily available...

You've tempted me into making a PSU like this for a project, just to show off...

You've done awesome work. Can't wait to see it when it's done...

Way to go Duck!!
There are many sizes of submersible pumps used for pumping the bilges on boats and they can pump oil, desiel, water just about anything and they are 12vt to boot. check 'em out they are from "Rule" http://www.rule-industries.com/prodI...talogId=Marine

great find brother!...

Well it's obviously not Midel, precision machine oil, mineral oil or any kind of transformer oil if it requires a Hazardous Materials cert. /me scratches his head and hmmms. Anxious to see the results. Nice article.

Has a HazMat Cert for the state of Ks.

EDIT: I too would be concerned about how it's going to effect the plastic on the motherboard and cables, or on any thermal paste, theremal epoxy, etc. etc.

I found 2 very interesting things about this fluid.
I cant say for sure why, but I would say heat expansion is the culprit. The fluid would creep up and over the cables (IDE primarily)that hung over the side, making a puddle under the plasic container.
The other thing that happened that I didnt like was the affect it had on cables. The normal flexibility was leeched out of the cable. The cables got stiff over a matter of about 2 weeks. If there was a bend in the cable it got stiff and stays in that position until I straightened it out. Not to the point of cracking, just stiff. I cant say what is going to happen to the cables over a matter of months though. That will be interesting.
