| BigAkita has a new review up on a couple different versions of a new cooler from Titan named the Eagle. This versatile cooler straps to quite a few different video cards. But can it cooler better than your stock cooler? Well, one of them can. ![]() Check it out here. | ||

Great review BA, however i have seen some decent aluminum coolers out there that do perform rather well. XP-120 is mostly aluminum and its Xl-120 counterpart is all aluminum. IMO i think that they might have skimped on the quality of aluminum that they used; can you scratch the metal of aluminum very easily BA? It may be made out of a rather not so dense alloy, thats my guess anyways.

| Yep great review. I was just wondering if you all had the review for the Fatal1ty Zalman HSF. This is the one I am talking about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118221 I wanna see how it compares to the Zalman 9500 and the Typhoon. Both the Typhoon and the Fatal1ty HSF have 12cm fans so I wanna see their performance difference. i didn't see the review of that HSF on this site, but I am wondering if it will be a future review. Maybe those Eagle cooler can be used in the PimpRig tribute case for their gold colors . | ||

| Great review BA, my honest opinion on Titan as of right now is that there posers...yeah sorry to say but its true. Most there items seem to fool the consumer into thinking that its kickass hardware, but in reality its just a generic with some makeup on... there pushing there image further than the products performance. the copper cooler did cool better than stock, yes. so it works, but look at the space it takes up!!! an arctic cooler i belive will produce better results at better price/performance bracket. This is like the only company that i just plain dont like. And the aluminum cooler...well...omg... None the less, it was an awesome review that i enjoyed reading even though the company the review was about is on the bottom of my product recomendation list, that shows that the reviews produced here at pcApex are the best around. -edit- hey UndisputedChamp, im not sure if you going more toward the look of the Fatal1ty cooler or just looking for the best cooler available? because i dont know if you read THIS review, but these seem to be outstanding performers with no equal as of now. HERE is the review on the Fatal1ty line-up HERE is the review on the 9500 And HERE is the review on the typhoon Last edited by beachbum86; 18-February-06 at 03:38 AM.. | ||

| Nice review! Though I'd thought they would perform better.... going "all aluminium" doesn't seem to be a good idea, though... they should learn from Zalman which has proven alu/copper "hybrids" closely tail all copper coolers... (and those hybrid ones are considerably lighter).... Sparky, I guess you mean the SI-120.... that's one example where Alu works well... And Beachbum... what about this? ![]() TDR | ||

well first off its made by thermalright......you know the makers of the xp-90 and 120 so there number one goal has always been performance, and second that is using heatpipe technology to compensate for the cooling disadvantages of aluminum and HERE is another review on it. but i still prefer arctic silencers as do they not only cool the gpu but also the ram AND keeps the case temps down by not recycling warm air, there farly inexpencive averaging around 33 bux. there are a select few coolers that give lower temps than this one, but for me personally i like a nice balance in my rigs. if i did alot of gfx benchmarking then i would get a cooler that renders lower temps for a higher OC. I am not going for the look of the fatal1ty line up, I just want to see if the Fatal1ty HSF that costs $70 lives up to the hype. I read those reviews, but when I went to newegg, I saw that the Fatal1ty HSF was more expensive than the Zalman 9500 so I was just wondering why.... I am really liking the 9500 cause the case I am going to get is the Gigabyte 3d Aurora, one of the few cases out there that offers 2 exhaust 120mm fans in the back. So the way the 9500 is positioned with the dual 120mm exhaust fans from my case will give me effeciency and results in an air cooling situation Last edited by UndisputedChamp; 18-February-06 at 11:19 AM..

| this is exactly what I have been looking for to use on my 6800XT (the copper version). because of the constraints of my SN25P I can't use GPU coolers that stick up above the card, I only have space horizontally away from the card to take advantage of. I will probably be picking up the copper version soon because the stock cooler, while it works decently well, is rather noisy compared to the Shuttle system fans (XFX 6800XT, the one with black PCB) | ||
