This is the same HSF as the Vantec Aeroflow. It's very nice.

Good article BA

Yup sure does, its just a renamed vantec Aeroflow, though PC toys does offer a nice price. They are pretty good sinks, i have used one myself in the past.

It's pretty hot in our house right now (wife refuses to turn on the AC ) and the AeroMaxx is 2C cooler than my mobo sensor on my testbench. The two things that really impressed me was how quiet the fan runs and it the fact it looks cool. I'm a sucker for chrome.

I bought a Vantec AeroFlow (after close examination, same as one reviewed). Pulled it off after realizing need to check codes on processor. Noticed something, processor is fine, but the copper had an impression on it! Talk about way to bypass needing to polish, the copper is soft enough to mold to match.

BigAkita - did you notice the heat sink gaul (sp?) too?

A slight impression is common if you've had it on for a while and the CPU has repeatedly gotten real hot, but as far as a pronounced impression; that's not common.

I haven't even turned it on, I put it on for a test fit and it left that impression. It was a PITA install, but it didn't require the pressure I'd think it'd take to put an impression in solid copper.

ADD - Maybe I'm just stronger than I thought?

The AeroFlow has a stronger than usual clip. Which is why I gave the disclaimer at the end of the review. The bitch is tight. Whether it is tight enough to actually change the face of the block, I don't know. Feral, I've had 13 tonight.. Can I get a HoHaah!

FeRaL - I always wanted to be someone's hero since I crawled out from under my rock.

Serious note, I really do hope once I get this next system running it'll ALL work well together. First system I put together totally from scratch. Done several build ups, repairs, but never a 100% from scratch. I want to see how well this puppy holds up to some moderate overclocking and keep the system noise down. To be continued in it's own dedicated thread once the USPS delivers the last of my stuff. Thanks BigAkita, even though I'm still slightly wary of the copper being so soft, I guess I'll have to do what I gotta do.
