Default E-Power Tiger 550W Modular PSU

Im_Gumby has his first PimpRig review online. He takes a look at the new Tiger 550W Modular PSU from E-Power. This looks like a nice PSU for the cheddar...

Check it out here.

Default Nice review!

Pimpin'

Nice, well written, and well organized paragraphs.
Good photos made it easy to follow along.
You didn't get all self-important and wordy, it was a great length (easily readable while eating lunch at work)
Improvements section was a nice touch

Gimpin'

Be careful not to give away high numbers just cause it's nice. I probably would have given that product a seven or eight. Nines and tens should be saved for the true cream of the crop-type products.

Great work, I look forward to more reviews that are this clean and straight-forward.

Nice review Im_gumby! Clearly Grassphopper has taken the peeble from his master's hand! But I do think you need more cables in your case.

I know what you mean. I did think about that for quite a while, but like I said in the review, the negatives were small. The areas for improvement are valid, but you have to consider that a few of these suggestions would raise their production costs, even if you were to pay more for UV cables, they would have to carry inventory for all the possible permutations of how it could be ordered, and that only works if you order from them directly. Getting NewEgg to sell all these options is another thing as well.

Bottom line is if I were building a new box, would I buy this PSU? Without a doubt... it comes from a well established company at a reasonable price with a good design and nice features.

And thanks for your review of my review (which I just reviewed)

The true cream of the crop bust a 9.5+ and get the Elite Gear Award. $100 for a 550W dual rail modular PSU of this quality is pretty nice. The lower price is what helps the score out. Had it been $50 more it probably would have been an 8. The true bottom line for the gear is the award given.
