| Digital-World has a new review up on a pretty nice full tower from Thermaltake. The R&D guys over there are putting out some pretty sharp stuff lately and the Armor case continues that trend. Check it out here. | ||

| This case looks like the Lian Li that Big Akita reviewed last, except of course the window and what not. The ideas are generally the same, except where Lian Li faulted ThermalTake picked up what was said and made a great case. Kudos to them and to DW for a great case review. | ||

| Nice review, had done a review of it to, a couple months ago. But that was for pcunleash.com, which is no more now ![]() But then I found this site which is huge and full of information ![]() Anyhow, the case is great, I gave it a 9/10 which it certainly deserves in my eyes. Its cold, spacy and wellbuild, the only bigger downside is maybe that you won't mod it that easily, but looks great allready. BTW, here's a picture of mine a bit modded: unlit: http://img428.imageshack.us/my.php?i...smaller6oy.jpg @ night: http://img428.imageshack.us/my.php?i...smaller4hx.jpg , http://img428.imageshack.us/my.php?i...smaller6qk.jpg | ||

| Great review Digi. Here are my observations about the case, since I also have one (I have the super-heavy steel version which is black): - The case is H U G E. The Abit KV8 board that I have in there right now looks like a MicroATX board because of the expansiveness of the interior. - I agree that there is nowhere to hide the wires. My suggestion would be to make a few holes in strategic places for better routing. - The primary drive cage, at least on my case, is nearly impossible to pull out. It almost feels like there is something jammed into the side of it. I also don't like how rough the edges feel in it. - Since the case is so large, make sure you have a power supply with long enough wires. I had some trouble making my older Antec backup PSU I have in there right now work because some of the wires wouldn't even reach when the drives were in certain configurations. Overall, though, I LOVE this case, and would definitely buy a Thermaltake case in the future. Ator gives it a 9.5/10 rating. | ||

| About that you can't hide your wires, I don't fully agree: You can place the wires you don't use behind your motherboard plate and the driverack. The thinner wires the same and then lead them true the wholes between the drives and the mobo plate. I have done it myself for a couple of cables. But I do agree that for the thicker cables, you don't have big enough holes and if it really bothers you to make some holes yourself. (I actually like it, being able to see my UV cables, doesn't bothers airflow if its all rounded) | ||

| I have the black version of the Armor and had I known the silver version was Full Aluminum, I would have picked it up instead... that aside... The case kicks butt. Period. After breaking off most of the drive 'tabs' inside the cage, I was able to stand my dual heatercore at full attention in it, while installing my two optical drives, fan controller, and floppy/power button. This is all due to the hard drive mounting cage near the PSU. I was also able to hide 80% of the wiring with ease (and a few extensions) behind the motherboard 'platform' and drive cage. I wouldn't have minded if I could have hidden the ATX connector too, but you can't have everything. If you're creative (and again, have extensions), you'll easily be able to hide most, if not all, of your wires. I am however working on something special for that window... hopefully it will turn out alright, and I'll snap new pics for you guys. PS. Sparky? I got Raptor. ![]() Last edited by H3LL5P4WN; 28-October-05 at 02:15 PM.. | ||
