You know, the good people at vantec might just be knocking on your door with a financial incentive to increase the mark on that item heh

It wouldn't matter if they did Nev.

You may be joking but in the past there have been manufacturers that actually tried to bribe us for good reviews. It didn't work of course. Our integrity is one of our most valued assets.

Absolutely. There is no way I won't call it as I see it. I may be way off and give a good rating to a bad product, or a bad rating to a good product, but you can rest assured that my opinion is guided solely upon my experience, and not upon bribes or threats from manufacturers or vendors. One thing we have that the big money sites don't is integrity.

2 questions:

1. Did you drink the 4 beers to provide the caps for the test? Certainly you didn't just dump it down the drain, that would be a sin.

2. I use my laptop on my lap while watching TV, etc. This cooler is the only one I could find that did not exhaust or intake through the bottom. Did you happen to run your test with the laptop on your lap? I also tend to have a blanket on my lap, so the heat can really build up. I thought that since this one exhausts through the back, it would be a better fit for me. . . Unless you have a better suggestion.

Yes, I drank 4 beers to get the bottle caps. It was a worthy sacrifice, but not as fun as my Alcohol Meter review was.

Instead of this device I would recommend a regular tray with some erasers underneath to lift the notebook up a little bit. The fans on this device were worthless.
