| Here is a question. Can you put the Light on either side of the fan? I didnt see if/how it was was attached, my concern would be, could i mount the light on the interior of an intake fan as well as the interior of an exhaust fan? Did that make sense? Could you mount it to an existing fan? Can you buy the round tube with its mounting hardware? hmm. *goes hunting information.* | ||

| Apex Techie Wannabe | I ordered these cathode fans in red and I have to tell you, I am very dissapointed with the color they emit. It is more of a hot pink then red. I know that the blues look fine because I have seen them in an application, but the reds really aren't that impressive. Did you test try the reds? What was your conclusion? I really like the concept behind these CC Fans, but Sunbeam has to do something (like they did with their straight tube cathodes) to get these to emit a true red color. I am going to try project a beam form a Laser LED into the light path and see if that will offset the hot pink color. It will be a few days until I receive them so I will post back then with any results. | |

| Apex Techie Wannabe | Hi Guys, I had this product laying around so I thought I would give it a shot. WOW!!!!!!......beautiful results. It's Dupli-Colors "METALCAST". They discribe it as a anodiized surface color system which I have used it in the past on various metals. It is very easy to apply and on bare metals, there is no need to use a primer. It is translucent enough that you can lay on a good coat without knocking down the light and still have a an excellent looking finished product. And man, are these puppies red. I mean RED!!!!! Nice thing is, it comes in a variety of colors that would make any case or light mod take on a unique look. Hey Outcast......I am also from Minnesota so...Hi Neighbor. | |
