| Probationary User | Edit, 3.9 gigs is even better! Nice, 3.8 on stock intel cooler. Hmmm, maybe I will look to Intel for the future, but then again, SLI looks really intertaining with Nvidia! Great review PJ, you da pimp! Last edited by SpikeShot; 28-October-04 at 01:32 PM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | They look really sweet and even though the review is extremely well written, I'm having a hard time trying to find out why anyone would need this much RAM. Is it for CAD programs or something? I'm gonna do some more surfing tomorrow to see. Rob

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Very nicely done PJ, awesome OC there Bro... I like the idea of DDR2 having less errors on the stick itself, by terminating the signal at the controller. Slower latencys is a small trade-off for being able to ramp up the speed. That happens on reg DDR too, only with voltage/heat increases to beat hell. Hopefully the technology will further itself... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Looks like a made a type-o...I hit 3900 stable, not 3800, again, it was with the stock cooler ![]() It was a great time watching the frequencies scale higher, but I think I may have overvolted my new 530 in the quest for 4.0

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm keeping this stuff You'll have to pry it from the clutches of my cold, dead fingers. That is, if you can catch me...it's all good tooling along I-75 on your Schwinn in 80 degree weather, but try that here where it's 40F...your parka's gonna slow you down...

Who said anything about NEEDING that much RAM? ![]() It's just the next step in the evolution of DDR, that's all...give it a year or two and everyone will be looking at DDR2...though I must admit, I'm extremely surprised at the ability of regular ol' DDR when it's overclocked...
