| Pimp-of-all-Pimps | Supah water pimp, AntiM has a new review up on the Zalman Reserator 1 which is a fanless, completely silent watercooling setup. Sharp looking unit. Check it out here. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It performed just like I thought it would. Good at idle but can't keep up when you start dumping the heat into it. It does look pretty cool though. I don't think I would ever use something like that if for no other reason than that price tag. Good review. |

| Aqua Pimp | I probably could bend the mounting clip a bit and get better contact on the Zalman block. I have my doubts if it would stay tight though. I don't think anything other than the mounting system is greatly superior in the Innovatek block. The Zalman's have scored fairly well in other tests and the Intel or AMD 64 mounting may prove better than the K7 system. And yes, temps could improve a good deal with a better mount. A poor mount can cost you a couple of degrees even in the best blocks. The biggest problem is clearly the res/radiator though. At higher temps it just can't keep up well. CPU's like the t-bred 2600-2800 and the Intel Prescott processors would tax it under load even at stock settings. The more heat, the wider the gap in performance would become. Even with a Cascade, BlackIce Xtreme and Mag2, over clocked, I could easily push my 2600 to over 60 C if I chose to. It runs a good 5 C warmer than the 1800 at stock settings and idle with the same gear. If the performance curve remained the same, even if you knocked 2 degrees off with better block contact, the CPU temps would conservatively reach well over 75 C with the Reserator at the same settings.

| Apex Tech God | I was going to look into buying that when the prices go down in price, but know...I think I would be better off with a normal setup, good review.
