| Pimp-of-all-Pimps | BigAkita has checked out an Abit AN7 for us and gives us his thoughts on it. Looks like this is the Athlon XP board to use. Check it out here. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Great review! Very thorough. Couple questions: 1. what is the highest you have had the 1700+ ? FSB, multi, vcore, and mobo please. 2. is the board true red, or Abit rust like the NF7?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Damn. I'm trying to remember the highest FSB I had. I think it was around 215. When I have a minute later today I'll check old threads to confirm that. The board is a couple of shades lighter than the NF7 (at least the one I have) but is not true red. |

| Mutant Moderator | Great review BA! I would have liked to seen how it fared going head to head with an NF7-S though. I'm looking at getting a new mobo and from what I have seen this one is a lil more friendly when it comes to non Abit products (USB/Firewire) as far as headers go and what not... The NF7-S' headers were designed to be used with the Abit media center so if you don't know what you are doing, it can be confusing hooking up stiff to the mobo headers with non Abit hardware...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Feral, it really is very close to the NF7 boards. That's why I recommended that if you have one, this isn't a good upgrade. But if you're looking for a new nForce2 board, this is the latest and greatest from Abit. PJ, that's good. I noticed the link to Glitter's article earlier, but was pleasantly surprised to see mine there. Glad to see that our behind is past us. Putwig, I looked for that thread but couldn't find it. I'll have to crank up this GB board again to see what it hit. |

| Apex Techie II | What's with that heinous ad that won't go away in the review? Going from page 1 to page 2 brings up a full-page "PimpRig sells out on the cheap" ad that you cannot click past. ARRG!
