| AntiM has just jumped into the snake pit and reviewed Razer's king of nasty reptiles, the Lachesis. Check it out here. | ||

| Good question and hard to answer. It's pretty much a wash for me. I much prefer the ergo shape of the Adder and it's quick and extremely accurate in its own right. The Lachesis however has the dpi buttons on the top and I really like that feature and two extra side buttons. At this point I think I game better with the Adder, comfort and consistency means a lot, but I think I could get used to the Lachesis. I'll never really use it at the dpi it is capable of though. The Lachesis has the edge in drivers hands down. I'd like the Lachesis guts and buttons wrapped up in the Adder's shape. | ||

The Lachesis would probably work well for you then, it's definitely got the better drive train. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Can't really say, I've never had a diamondback. It's just a little over 5" long and 2 3/4" wide at the widest points. Where you'd rest your palm is narrow though, about 2 1/4". That's 1/2" narrower than the Adder or MX-500. | ||

| I'm picking up a BOOMSlang 07 CE, as soon as my next pay comes. The Lachesis is nice but where's 4000DPI going, can you really take advantage of that much resolution? Ha? Thats funny, but I thought the Ultraslick feet were that much better, than the average teflon feet. There Ultraslick man... | ||

| Ok, Anti... I went and picked up a Lachesis on the sly from the Mrs... This thing had better be WELL WORTH the butt-chewing I'm liable to get if/when she finds out how much they're going for... Ok, that out of the way... The review was one of the reasons for shelling out the cash. The other was the way that the Lycosa keyboard feels and "handles" for me. The slightly rubberized feel makes for less slippage, and the blue LED-backlit keys/media controls looks very nice indeed alongside the pulsing blue of the Razer logo on the Lachesis... Now, as to gaming with it... So far, the top buttons are very crisp, and it doesn't take a whole lot to click on whatever... The mouse itself slides smooth as silk across a baby's bottom... And yes, the pulsing blue logo does look super-wicked-cool. Ok, off to play with my new little friend some more... "Little Friend" being code for the Lachesis, of course... ![]() | ||
