Post DangerDen RBX Waterblock Review

Putwig has written a nice article on the new DangerDen RBX waterblock. Sharp looking block but does it hold it's own against a Cascade block?

Check it out here.

Excellent! Very well written article and nice collaborative effort by THE true water-cooling pimps.

EDIT: I didn't forget about Zennzzo, he is just in his own class.

Very nicely done Bro...
And #4 is the ticket in my Mag3 system as well...
It's good to all have the same AMD recomended cooling temp formula, We can all speak apples and apples.

I'm sure that the design gods that be, arn't sitting still at this moment...I predict there will be "shots fired" at the top dog, real soon...

So, as it stands, the Cascade is still the best...I was first under the impression the RBX was going to be better, but those two blocks are killer anyway that it almost doesn't matter.

One block I've considered more so as an upgrade would be a nice chromed PolarFlo water block. Any word on if there will ever be a PR PolarFlo review?

great , just when I thought I might have made a decision about my WC stuff PolarFLO comes up... only heard good things, then again from what I've seen of the inside of the block it's just a semi-jet middle barb basting a bunch of little holes then going out the side bards, huge chamber too...

GruntVille has it as top dawg over the Whitewater... unfortunatly it costs abit more too, kinda middle ground between the RBX / WW and Cascade..

Lookin forwards to the review AntiM, I'd guess you have it now?

I would like to personally thank all the PIMPS that took time out of their day to do a review on the RBX. I thought it was well written and very nicely laid out, and your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Rokk

I definately have to say well done. Great review, I didn't even know about the interchangable jet nozles. What a great idea.

Good stuff. I was wondering though, all these waterblocks utilize the four mounting holes. Are there any quality blocks that use the clips? I know the swiftech ones use it, but I havent seen any others.

I ask because I was wanting to go with the GigaByte GA-7N400Pro, but they didnt decide to ad the extra mounting holes.

DangerDen sells a socket hold down for the RBX. PolarFlo also has a socket hold down. And Innovatek still has one of the best hold downs for a tab mount.

Default RBX, dangerden 3-tab, 7N400-pro Gbyte

That combination will be just fine....
