The bass is very good. Honestly I can't recall anything about the mids, but I'm at work now. I'll check it and report back. All in all, they produce a very nice sound and I'm pleased with them. Whaaa?? The theory is sound... how effective it is in reality may be up for debate. And I'm talking about active noise cancellation, not passive as those are just closed ear headphones. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

I have a pair of Creative active noise canceling headphones and they make sooo much difference on the train and in cars, totally cuts out the engine noise and general ambient rumble.
