Review: Everglide S-500 Gaming Headphones

Im_Gumby has just reviewed Everglide's S-500 headphones. They promise great sound, but for around $80 can they deliver?

It would have been nice to hear at least a little about the sound quality. How was the mid-frequency response? Did they have good bass?

Otherwise, nice review. It's not every day that we get headphone reviews by devastatingly handsome people

The bass is very good. Honestly I can't recall anything about the mids, but I'm at work now. I'll check it and report back. All in all, they produce a very nice sound and I'm pleased with them.

I hate Noise-Canceling. There's no such thing. Just a marketing name for closed ear headphones.

Whaaa??

The theory is sound... how effective it is in reality may be up for debate.

And I'm talking about active noise cancellation, not passive as those are just closed ear headphones.

Waffles thats obviously b0llocks. I have a pair of Creative active noise canceling headphones and they make sooo much difference on the train and in cars, totally cuts out the engine noise and general ambient rumble.

How is that the marketing working? Thats me noticing a huge difference between when I have noise canceling turned on, compared to off, on the same headphones.

I suggest you actually try some

Then, if you still can't hear the difference, id say you shouldn't be making any comment about any piece of audio equipment whatsoever as you are obviously lacking something...
