Slaymate

While I've got no part in this contest, I have prizes in hand before I offer
to give them away. Unfortunatly, it seems like this contest has went bad.
A few of you guys I truely feel sorry for. I know you followed the rules
and you should get your prize. Hopefully that will happen but it seems
unlikely at this point. But maybe.
A few of you I also know. Your present here was strictly just to win a prize.
A few of you will do anything to win, well you managed to win a contest
that went bad. I'm sorry and maybe you guys will also get your prizes.

From the sounds of it, GlitterKill already knows all about the problem.
If he can fix it I'm sure he will. If he just can't then at least you didn't
spend any money.
I've been a member here for awhile. I've just recently been made a member
of the Staff. I have no powers on the forum, but I know everyone that does.
If you don't want me telling all your little secrets then stop complaining. Now!

The few of you I respect, I'll try to get you something. It may not be much,
but I do get free stuff every now and then. But don't rush me. Free is Free.

A few of you just need to go away. I've said no names, just go.

Are all the missing prizes from the same sponsor?
If so maybe it's been shipped from factory, possible from China or Taiwan - and for a freebie they won't spend a fortune on shipping, they go as cheap as they possible can, that would be by ship, and maybe only when they have other shipments going out. Then we're talking months....

Just a thought, I might be wrong.

It sure doesn't help your case that the only posts you've made bar one have been in this thread. You contribute nothing to this site, if that would change the attitude of most users here would also change, dramatically.

I don't recall reading any contest rule that, if i don't contribute to this site,i won't get my prize even if i win.I'm more of a reader than poster.And actually, i was talking about the sponsors.I know GK quite well.I know he's still trying to get our prizes delivered to us.So, none of my comments were intended to him.But i do have the right to ask about my prize as i've won it.I do have atleast more than 500 posts in some forums but I think, people like me generally hesitates to post somewhere where new people are bashed always & they don't have any voice.So,anybody thinking i only join forums for contests,is wrong i'm sorry.Thanks for understanding.

Unless its a post by Glitter Kill, ignore them, even if they are staff. They aren't speaking for GK, he can do fine on his own.
Slaymate, the threat was very unnecessary. The fact is that these people entered a contest and were told that they won something. They've complied 100% with what was asked of them and did not receive their prizes. It has been several months now and they are still being civil despite the fact that they have every right to feel cheated.

GK, I understand you're busy trying to get things worked out, but could you please provide an update as to the status of the missing prizes, even if the update is "No Change"?

Yeah, the only thing that I am worrying about is that I provided my address and all the info, and if I don't get anything, I don't know what my address could be used for. i am really worried about stuff like this. And thanks for Peng Lord for your comment.

This is a legit site peti1212 - I assure you that GK, or anyone else at staff(myself included) will not use or sell your address. We're trying to find out what went wrong in this Giveaway, so just hang tight for a minute.

Wow what a bum deal. Ive won a prize from contests held on this site, and have never experienced anything like this before....bummer. Your also getting told to kick rocks pretty much just for bein a contest troll. Ive got no qualms against being a contest troll because ive registered at forums for giveaways before, and whats really sad is the fact that the people acting like asshats to you have probably done the same.

Just keep holding tight and dont give up, because i seriously doubt that GK has given up on your prizes. Also dont let this crap spook you away from the site. Keep your heads up.

They promised those prizes so they ARE going to send them... even if I have to email them every day! I am so sorry and very embarrassed that it has taken so long. I keep emailing them and am either getting the run around or are not getting replies. I am VERY pissed about them taking so long. I PROMISE that I am doing what I can to get you the prize you deserve. It's hard to get anything done when I don't get replies.

I have NOT forgotten you and I continue to try to get people to cough up the prizes they offered. Hell, if you want feel free to email their marketing team and point them to the giveaway URL ( PCApex.com - PC Apex 6th Anniversary GiveAway ) and tell them that you have not got your prize... I will continue to do the same.

I think about this site and things that need to be done from dawn til dusk. Everyday, all day. Your guys getting your prize is at the top of my list for things to fix. It honestly stresses me out knowing that you guys are STILL waiting every day for a prize you should have received AT LEAST 2 months ago. I will be calling Thermaltake, Logisys, and Ultra on Monday morning and then again after 2PM until the close of business until I get someone on the phone to straighten this out. I swear it! I would call in between but I have a vendor exam for another certification on Monday. So after I do that I will resume the calling.

I cannot apologize enough for the delay. I can only assume that there has been a HUGE mix-up somewhere... or something I simply can't imagine. I mean Ultra has been a BIG supporter of ours for YEARS. It just doesn't make sense. Is it a government conspiracy? Maybe the Taliban is involved?

Sorry... I have to try to laugh or I'll end up screaming. :|

Thanks so much GlitterKill for clearing this whole thing up. I am really hoping that one they day will reply. As a matter a fact I have already emailed them not specifically to the marketing place but just to the Thermaltake Support about this, showed them proofs that I won, but did not get any replies back either. It's getting a bit annoying, but I will try again tomorrow.

I stand by my suggestion (I wasn't implying anything, I was rather literal) to ignore any staff member that says that since you don't contribute to this site, you don't deserve that which you have won. And Slaymate was threatening:

GK is taking care of things, all other staff members need to keep out of it and stop trying to speak on PCApex's behalf. If Slaymate hadn't included the fact that he was a staff member, I'd have ignored it, but by including that one sentence, Slaymate was indicating that he was in a position of power over regular forum members.

Slaymate offered to provide freebies to "those he respects", so I will half commend him on his offer. The fact is that just because he doesn't like someone doesn't make that person any more or less deserving of a prize or Slaymate's or 4x0n's hostility.

The matter had been settled when GK posted and I was going to leave things alone, but you posted a direct rebuttal to my suggestion (you'll note that GK didn't dispute it in his response). The people that aren't involved in this whole mess should just stay out of it (as I've been trying to do).
