Great review! +rep to ya.
A very entertaining review, though it's made me very sad that I don't have the requisite half grand neccesary for a case like that.

On a side note however, I think Godfoot shoulda gotten to review this case because only a Texan could be properly equipped to handle such a Behemothic, big mother, bulky, colossal, cyclopean, elephantine, enormous, extensive, gargantuan, giant, gigantic, great, gross, humongous, immeasurable, immense, jumbo, king-size, leviathan, lusty, magnificent, mammoth, massive, mighty, monster, monstrous, monumental, mountainous, mungo, outsize, oversize, planetary, prodigious, stupendous, super-colossal, titanic, towering, tremendous, vast, walloping, whopping, ample, awash, barn door, brimming, bulky, bull, burly, capacious, chock-full, colossal, commodious, considerable, copious, crowded, enormous, extensive, fat, full, gigantic, heavy duty, heavyweight, hefty, huge, hulking, humongous, husky, immense, jumbo, king sized, mammoth, massive, monster, mungo, oversize, packed, ponderous, prodigious, roomy, sizable, spacious, strapping, stuffed, substantial, super colossal, thundering, vast, voluminous, walloping, whopper, whoppin...case.

Though for a Arizonian.

One thing which bothered me: It's gonna be a trek to get the PSU wires to the mobo.

I know this saga; I had an older cube case (not aluminium) and it means spending extra money on extensions and making it more cluttered.

They could have had a module where the two-120 module goes above the mobo tray which accepted a PSU and then I'd be a lot more interested.

You realise now that since I am local to Phoenix I will just have to swing a metal detector around in a wide arc, wait for the needle to bend, and the 343B will be MINE

Norwegian designed, Lian Li manufactured. How could it be anything less than great?

Well, it is a very nice case, but I already have 2 behemoths, one of which secretly goes under the knife once in a while.

.....been wanting a Lian Li though, lol.

Oh yeah. You know I am a fan of huge cases and cube cases. That sucker has some serious potential. I don't think $350 is a bad price to start with for one of those. You gotta pay to play.

Hahahaha mountainmods are gonna have to drop their price to compete with this big boy. I own a rather large case myself, but i dont think i would even be able to do that case justice; i just dont have that much stuff. I could try though.

What do you get when you cross a Mountain Mods UFO cube with Lian Li? A big aluminum box. Quality notwithstanding, I couldn't be more utterly unimpressed. Absolutely zero modding potential, outrageous high price (and gotta love those cheap-looking casters, you'd think LL would implement something a little more pleasant-looking than those eye-sores that totally ruin the look of superior quality they were gunning for) and shapeless box appearance.

I'm glad to be the first to bag on this expensive siamese twin of a quality rectangle box. I hate it. I've always hated LL and always will, as long as they continue on with their Charlie Brown 'blockhead' mentality.

Thumbs up Re: Review: Lian Li PC-343B Modular Cube Case

I simply have to reply to your review---incredible! I am a systems builder and have been for half a lifetime and I have never read a review as entertaining---but more importantly---ACCURATE as your review. My PC-343B arrived early this week and I have been working on it. What I originally thought I would have to do is now moot. My triple radiator fits perfectly (with room to spare). I am using two rear HDD modules so I can vent the heat out the back of the case. My only gripe was mounting the radiator brackets--very difficult due to limited access to the left side screws. Other than that---noise. The first thing I did was tap the top of the case and it was noticeably tinty. I have a little trick that is very inexpensive that I have used for years. Pep Boys or any other auto parts store sells a BLACK rubberized spray-on or paint-on undercoating for cars and trucks. It not only makes the inside of the case black, it helps to deaden the sound and virtually stops all harmonic vibrations within the case. Added insulation can still be used, but the undercoating itself will drastically deaden the sound. Your review had me in stitches! Being a system builder I seek out sites where I feel I can trust the reviewer----and I have added your site to the top of my list. We all know that many reviews are totally biased and written by employees of the company selling the product. It was VERY obvious that you did a "hands-on" review and your thoroughness was astounding---right down to the shoulder screws. There are other cube cases---Xoxide sells their own version (as well as the PC-343B), Mountain Mods has theirs, but the team from Norway that designed this case had their act together. Lian-Li would NEVER have put their name on this case had it not met their standards. It's expensive, but worth every penny. Perhaps I can post some photo's when my system is complete. GOOD JOB on the review!!

Glad you liked the review, and the site. It is, indeed, a fantastic review...albeit unfortunately about a case I'd have nothing to do with, personally. Minimalism is for those who want to be overlooked and ignored. But one thing you'll find here, is people tend to tell you the truth, instead of what you wanna hear. That's what PCApex is all about--people here shoot from the hip, and carry big calibre guns. No matter the perspective, it's a good thing.

Thanks for the kind words all.

And warpete. Now there's a first class introduction post!

Thanks warpete, I'm glad you enjoyed it and do post up pics of your build when you've got the time. The gallery has lot's of room and you can also post a worklog in the forums if you're looking for feedback. Kick back and enjoy your stay.

Nice tip on the undercoating spray. I haven't decided how I'm going to quiet the beast yet. But I've got a big roll of 1/8" rubber-like shelf liner and a big can of 3M adhesive that could do the trick.

I like the case, the add ons are where the price goes up though. I'd like to see a review comparing the Duality UFO-U2 and the Lian-Li.

The quote really make that a true PCApex review though. Great work, I'd like to see a Borg cube ship mod there, it would be fricken sweet. Especially if the wapr drive and tractor beam were installed....

Have you ever seen the one that GlitterKill made it is not the UFO-U2, but the UFO-U2 PimRig LIMITED EDITION with the diamond top. it looks like this one in the picture he did a very nice job on it.
Edit here is the link to the one GlitterKill did.
