Antec averts hard drive disasters
~ launches hard drive cooler to prevent heat damage and increase PC stability ~

Antec, Inc., a manufacturer of computer hardware and accessories for the upgrade and build your own (BYO) markets, has introduced its hard drive cooler to protect hard drives from serious heat damage that could lead to total disk failure and data loss.

Designed to provide maximum dispersion of heat generated from the hard drive with minimal disturbance, the hard drive cooler features a dual heatsink / fan combination that ensures a quiet dissipation of heat within the system. The heatsink is made of aluminum and is coupled with two thermally-controlled, variable-speed 40mm fans.

The cooler comes equipped with two built-in temperature sensors that allow convenient monitoring of hard drive and case temperatures, which users can display in Celsius or Fahrenheit. A blinking LED light alerts users if temperatures surpass 45ƒC / 113ƒF, so they can intervene before overheating causes system damage. The hard drive cooler supports IDE, SCSI and serial ATA high-speed hard drives.
