Default Coolink announces the "Silentator"

"They call me Silentator."

Vienna / Taipei, June 11th 2006 - Coolink today presented a new high-performance cooler for Intel and AMD processors called "Silentator". The Silentator employs 3 high-performance heat-pipes, 37 aluminium cooling fins with a surface area of more than 3500cm² as well as a SWiF-1202 quality fan, providing top-class cooling performance at a minimum noise emission of only 14dB(A).

"While developing the Silentator, we could build on the basis of Noctua's award-winning Ultra-Low-Noise coolers, which are manufactured in our factories", explains Timothy Chu, Coolink CEO. "We've revised the layout of the cooling fins and optimised it towards maximum performance and lower weight. Linking top-notch performance, quality and efficiency, the Silentator is a true Coolink product!"

Whereas many CPU cooler manufacturers resort to the use of low-grade sleeve bearing fans that can't provide satisfying long-term stability, the Silentator comes equipped with the tried and tested SWiF-1202 quality fan using a high-precision double ball bearing. At a maximum speed of 1600RPM, the SWiF-1202 gives the Silentator sufficient headroom in order to provide reliable cooling even for highly overclocked CPUs.
At the same time, the noise emission of the SWiF-1202 can be reduced to a mere 14dB(A) using the supplied PCI-bracket fan controller.

"We outfitted the Silentator with a SWiF-1202 fan in order to create a product that offers quality and reliability through and through as well as to let the user choose between outstanding performance and extremely silent operation according to his current needs", says Timothy Chu.
"This way, the customer gets a first-class cooler and an excellent fan ensuring maximum quietness for many years, all bundled at a very competitive price."

The Silentator is equipped with the professional SecuFirm™ mounting system that guarantees optimal contact pressure and maximum security thanks to the use of a backplate and spring-loaded screws. As a result, the SecuFirm™ mounting system makes it possible to safely transport the assembled system without any risk even though the cooler exceeds the 450g weight specification established by Intel and AMD. Perfect for LAN gamers!

Price and availability
The Silentator is available with immediate effect in versions for Intel LGA 775, for AMD AM2 and for AMD K8 (754, 939, 940). The suggested retail price is EUR 39,90 / USD 49,90.
