| Apex Tech Fanatic | I'd have to say that my next in the far away future will be a mid-tower...i like mod-towers because they're not gigantic and they don't collect huge amounts of dust...and they're generally a lot easier to carry to places. And there's less room for things to come off and plink around. So, i like mid-towers more than any.

![]() | I just built a large (Ultra Aluminus) comp and won Ultras Mod Contest. I won merchandise so I got Micro-flys, wizzards and more aluminus cases (wish I got money instead, lol) But for my next comp I want to put a full size mobo With SLI in one of the Micro-Fly cases. I am also making a Lexan case thats smaller than the Micro Fly., I seem to not be happy unless I am building 3 comps at once. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Voted: A custom built case. I'm working on a design for a micro watercooled case. Machined from aluminum or copper with blowerfans set into the middle of finned radiator panels. I want to put a mitx mobo with a fairly decent video card and slotload DVD+-RW-DL in it, and mount it in a power wheelchair. Run it off the chair 24vdc, with optional wind-up extension cord. Bit far off tho, still trying to finish current mod.

Are you going to run some sort of robotics application on this? What's the reason for the decent video card and DVD burner ?

![]() ![]() ![]() | Nah, just a portable pc for Windows Vista, games, emulators, gps nav, camera, tablet drawing, etc. I am working on a design for an adaptable robotic chair with an AI, but it's so far from production, I'm not concerned at all with the computer components. Imagine these combined.

Okay, so you're going to attach a "box" based on a mini-ITX to an existing power wheel chair for now? And the good stuff is down the road, right?

![]() | i love working in big cases...u can do more to them...but small cases are nice too as long as their aluminum..otherwise they are such potential hotboxes if not modded properly..but i guess thats true for any case...i just love my addtronics server case...if only it had more 3.5 bays http://www.xoxide.com/thunderblade4.html it was the first case i ever bought back like 7 years ago... yes again..wish it was aluminum

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm undecided between these cases, thayre both really nice My main concern is a premium case that has enough room to eventually mount a phase change system in it. http://www.mountainmods.com/product_...roducts_id=252 ![]()

| Imperial News Bounty Hunter | RBIEZE, since i own 2 of the UFO cases i like the first one the best, the other one just has to much of a window on the side but that is just me, good luck to you on which one you decide to chose they are both very nice cases.

![]() ![]() ![]() | As I posted before... for me it's the CM Stacker.... it's already standing under my desk being slowly ' modded & ' filled... Just bought this one for my wife; http://www.alternate.nl/pix/prodpic/...0/t/tqxm12.jpg Yupyup... as of late... I'm very impressed with Coolermaster cases... especially since I really don't have much time on my hands, atm (work & study & such..)... TDR ----------- Edit.... got the Coolermaster Centurion 5 by mail today... I must admit I'm pretty impressed with it... from the outside it looks like a mini " CM Stacker"... sure.. the side panels aren't as sturdy, the front panel is " clamped on".. and the interior is just " plain jane"... other than that... it looks gorgeous! Already " sleeved" the internal cabling... " decoupled" the 120mm fan (a NICE fan, btw..)... threw out the 80mm fan... (noisy at all voltages.. bad... bad.. fan!).. Also threw out the wierd fan duct thing.... it won't fit anyway... not with the SI-97 fitted! All in all, I'm mighty pleased as is my wife... she loves the sleek & simple look of this case... I'm currently looking into some eletronic circuitry to " automate" the cooling...

![]() ![]() | I'll be moving my (current) new system to an Ultra Microfly mATX in the coming weeks as my GEM's 2nd-primary use will be LAN'n.. The case is also a deal less ugly and restrictive than the similar Apevia X-Qpack I was going to get (the Microfly allows for standard-size ATX PSU's and of course more room for the huge x1900AIW -both significant must's for an SFF-based gaming/multimedia unit) and also available without a psu (cheaper).

![]() | Where is the love for SFF!! The above guy has it right, why go with a huge case when you can get close to the same power in a small one If we have any college goers here...I suggest SFF or you will regret hauling 75lbs of metal up the stairs of your dorm.
