![]() ![]() ![]() | I used to really want a Lian-Li... but the new ones, the ones which look like the G5, I'm not quite as huge a fan of. They don't look quite right as G5 ripoffs (I'd put a small metal plate down and then fasten the ports and buttons to it), there's no reset button, and I bet they're virtually impossible to keep the dust in check on. Plus they all have weird-ass layouts now; the older ones I liked a lot more. I wish I had an excuse (and a source) to get another Skyhawk though, I'd like to try the mods I did again with the lessons learned. |

![]() | I already have my next income tax refund spent. I like big tower cases, and sometimes, I just like to have a simple, watercooled monster, sitting on the desk in a "tuxedo" case. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My employer just gave me the chance to build my own Photoshop/Illustrator workstation, and I opted for the "tuxedo" route, too. I wanted something quality-built, classy looking (no vampire-shaped plastic face on the front), with 120mm fans, for under $150. Plus, this Hiper PSU looks like it was made specifically for it. |

FF, I gotta say, if I could have gone back and decided against my Ultra XConnect (version 1), I would kill for that Hiper, the plug system is pretty sexy, and they get some stellar reviews... | |||||||||||||||||||||||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I hear ya, Gzim. I also have a v.1 Ultra X-Connect in my home PC -- it was the only modular on the market when I bought it. The power output on mine has behaved just fine, though the stiff cables make routing difficult. But based largely on PCApex's review by BA, I decided to give Hiper a shot this time 'round. Plus, all the downsides mentioned in the review won't really affect this system. |

![]() | I like plain, functional and cheap for a case. The Kingwin SK-523 fits the bill with front and back 120mm fans. Just hide all the expensive stuff inside. |
