How fast does PimpRig load for you?

PimpRig is constantly undergoign tweaks and changes here and there. I want to know how well the site loads for you. I don't really want a timed benchmark for the poll (but feel free to leave posts letting me know page load tiems for you) but rather a general feeling from you guys on how fast the site loads and behaves for you. This info will REALLY help me when deciding on new hardware/server/redesigns I may need to do to improve your experience here.

Everything loads up fast but it seems to still be loading something maybe ads. Also sometimes seems like it takes awhile for posts with images to large to resize themselves.

Yeah I have it setup so the ads load after the page content itself loads (or rather the pages dont wait for the ads before loading). Makes for MUCH faster page loads over all.

The threads that have people who post LARGE images are resized by a handy javascript BUT the images need to fully load before the script can resize it. Nothing I can really do there, I am afraid. The solution in place now is the only thing I can do besides cutting out all image linking all together and only allowing image attachments.

ADD: Looking for poll votes as well guys.

Well, I view at work and at home (big suprise there). At work, blocking ads and misc stuff, 95% of the pages load w/in 1-2 seconds. (Exceptions is the babe thread when Baz and Thrasher are feeling their oats.)

At home over dsl w/basically the same setup, still around 2 seconds. So not yet close to sitting in front of the screen rocking back and forth screaming "faster you P.O.S! Faster!!"

It loads quick (very acceptably) for me on all the computers I've come here on (Windows and Mac, -alike), but as far as actual page-flipping, I honestly can't tell much of a difference between my home's crappy 256k DSL and my friend's awesome 3mb cable..

Everything loads quickly for me except when you POST REPLY or start a new thread, the box where you type only initializes AFTER all the ad's load and thatÃ‚â€™s kind of a pain.

I would swear that it used to take at least twice as long to load last year as it does now. And I've even customized it so I view more posts per page than I used to. So whatever tweaks you've done have really helped! Along with my Premium Pimp subscription, of course (free, shameless plug for ya there, GK

).

It runs fine for me but I have a very good connection. The only thing I have a problem with is all the ads and banners to load kills me from replying in firefox. It takes a couple minutes to load it correctly. I guess I should scrounge up some money and become a premium pimp.

I'm with PJ on this one! It takes about 1-2 seconds! I don't think I have ever had to wait much longer except in like the babe thread that might take like 4 seconds.....LOL

I too, see 'Transferring data from text.burstnet.com...' WELL AFTER the complete page has loaded, infact, I don't remember ever seeing it go away..

PS. I'm using Firefox.

even on my wireless its fast, but im a premium pimp so im surfing ad free in the forums which is like a snap.

GK it's running hella fast except the image loading. sometimes it takes a long time to upload large images especially in the babe thread but other than that it's PERFECT.

Most pages load in a couple of seconds with the exception of those with lots of pics i.e. new babe and photography threads but that's to be expected.

2-3 seconds average for me, but if one of those god forsaken ads has a problem, and they often do for me 10-15 seconds.

I hate the ads...

This past week I was having IE time out trying to open PR. I finaly gave up on trying to read the DFI NF4 review. It is going a lot better today though

Via the T-1 at work, never an issue.

On my cheapassed 56K dialup at home... meh.

MUCH faster after the Premium Membership. Definately recommend that option to all dialup users.

Blazing at home and work... actually very well built considering the amount of stuff on the homepage. Having a quality host helps too...
