Yes, but not for a good long while, mostly for cost reasons . . .

Why? Simple . . . I'm a geek, and those are pretty toys . . . If I can afford the toys, they become mine . . . Now, if another, more cost effective and more powerful solution comes along? My answer's gonna change.

I'll have to admit that I'm the one that voted for "what the hell is SLI". I gotta start reading some good computer magazines and asking some more questions. Any ideas for a good periodical?

It's gonna be about 10ish more months (barring winning the lottery) until i start to seriously look at upgrading my system, but even if i had the cash in hand right now, i'd still wait until the technology matures some more.

To be honest, I'd get it now, because I strangely enjoy working the bugs outta new stuff. Always have . . . Can probably blame that on my friend who helped me install the 13 floppy version of windows 95 back in the day . . .

technology is obsolete the after a few months anyways so I eventually upgrade as it becomes more tested and mainstream to get the best information I can from other people on forums.

Undecided, since the technology is still in it's infancy, and ATI hasn't released their equivalent. After ATI springs it's load, then I'll take a look at both platforms, and decide what's the better bang-buck ratio. May not be SLI at all...who knows...IMHO tho it's too early to make a decision on SLI either way.

It's too early to tell weather or not this technology will be beneficial. From what I've read so far, there is not a sizable advantage gained by using multiple cards in an SLI setup, rather than just using a single, better GPU. I'm taking a wait-and-see approach.

This is a major concern! I had my concerns from the begining about this too.

With my max overclock and a 560 core to my X/800 XT, I really don't need to power of SLI. Grant you the benchmark glory could make it worth it, and runing 4 monitors is something I would do.

I voted overkill as of right now cause it really is. half life 2 at 1280X1024 with full setings looks fine and runs great on all my setups, no SLI. Doom 3 is another story, but I don;t play it anyways.

OFF TOPIC! BUT "With my max overclock and a 560 core to my X/800 XT????" I hope thats not overclocked? I have just the pro and running at 615/600!

i voted seems like overkill. At the moment i believe that but who knows what will happen next month.

As of this moment my 9600xt Gives me great framerates, 100+ in UT2k4 with graphics set at high. My monitor can only display 85 fps. So i set everything to the highest setting. Why they have high, higher, highest, low, lower, lowest, normal i dont know. (What ever happend to high medium low?) At everything set at highest i still get 85+fps. And it looks great. So I dont care. Maybe when next gen stuff is afordable. But for time being HELL NO!
