i send my child support checks ($550 every two weeks) using "express mail" from the us postal service. never had a problem (otherwise id get aressted for the "deadbeat dad" thing in NJ). and yes, have no problem with child support, but i hate it when i pick up my kids and see that the house (which was once mine) has been renovated yet again) i just want the laws changed so that child support goes to the children. maybe an escrow acount or somthing with actuall reciepts for costs. ok, im sorry, i had to vent.

Fedex gets stuff to me really quick and in perfect condition. Also I've found them to be pretty inexpensive. Also their tracking is great. The fedex equivalent of UPS ground gets packages to me in 2 or 3 days from anywhere in the continental US! A lot of times it's 2 days...

Also I know a guy that worked at UPS, he said if the box says fragile on the side it tends to get the $|-|!'|' beat out of it. I think you'd probably tend to get that at any shipping place... they all have employee's that are... not quite all there (especially the USPS)

as biohazard already knows, my mom works for fedex and I get a discount.
we always ship fedex cause they fast and they good.
one time usps drove over a small packace which contained a small glass thingy, the box was flat as a cd.
ups over here in colorado drop, kick, smash, and throw all the packages just so they can get done early.
one time i was sitting in my garage, and a ups trucko pulled up.
they ups guy say the garage half open and he attempted to fit a tall package in it.
he ended up cracking something in it, i cant remember what.

I would like to tell everyone now NOT to use Purolator when shipping or receiving from the states. No hidden brokerage fees my ass! I received a package this morning, that was a gift, from the states. It may be worth about $20. They tried to charge me THIRTY EIGHT ($38) for the freaking thing! I ended up refusing the package, because well, it's December, and I certainly can NOT afford to give someone $40 at the drop of a dime, especially when I'm not expecting it. I can't believe these morons are still in business, they're charging over 7 times what the post office here charges. It's ridiculous, and I will be telling everyone that I possibly can not to ship with these greedy, money hungry people.

I've used them all and seem to get good results from all them. But, I prefer Fedex when I ship anything.

I dont ship packages but when recieving I prefer FedEx, They are always quick, and I have never recieved anything damaged from them. UPS however sent one of my cases to the wrong house, and also delivered another cases that was hella beatup so I had to RMA for a new side panel.

USPS, because they are cheap and reliable, as well as close to my house.

Right now I prefer USPS (if you ever ordered from DM you would know ) but I do so becase I get free supplies... Good shipping rates and reasonably fast shippments... plus I live in B.F.E. and the only UPS and FedEX places are located at Kroger *UPS* (bunch of ignorant a**ed ppl that dont know what there doing and it takes 20 minutes to ship a simple 1 pound package to the next state) or RatShack *FedEX* which I have yet to have experiance but the other day I was there to buy some prototyping materials and it took me all of 30 minutes to check out and I only had 13 chucks worth of merc. which was totally lame... I was begining to think he was playing Halo or DC as much key punching as he was doing on his computer... so I am sticking with USPS... Print my priority lables right at home.. stick to box and drop off.. no hassle... and even if I have to go to the counter I am out within 5 minutes max...

I have to say that in the past two years I've really grown to love the good ol' USPS. They're not only cheep, but somehow they've managed to avoid whatever bug it is that keeps UPS and FedEx from finding my apartment.

FedEx was once shipping me a new processor, got her in Colorado from New York wihout any problems at all.... then it got back to the sender in New York without any problems.... didn't even know until they called me asking why I refused delivery. According to the rep at FedEx, it never even left the dock for delivery, just got here and was sent back! Now that's service!

As for UPS, I've been called twice by people who've received my packages by mistake.... 20 miles away! I live in Denver, not Longmont! And it's not like either address was even remotely similar to mine either.

So anyway, its USPS for me!

i prefer ups, but fedex is a close second, followed by usps. i've had the best experiences w/ ups, but the bottom line is: if it's fragile, you'd better make your pack bomb-proof, they all will beat the hell out of it (it's just the nature of the beast).

I seem to disagree with most people, I prefer UPS over FedEx. It wasn't the company that screwed up, it was the selfish and lazy FedEx drivers that refused to drop off my brother's guitar he purchased online. (maybe they changed since a year ago) And the UPS people just drive stop and drop it off in less than a minute. altho, from how they do business, it seems they should varify the right person got the package. so far, no problems with them, so UPS is the service for me.

Ups only because we have the contract with them at work and the company will foot my bill willingly for sending stuff out. Ah, it's nice to have free shipping. If it wasn't for that, Big brown would get my vote.

Definately Fedex they always deliver to my house early. UPS always seems to deliver late. UPS delivers around 5 pm. I must be one of the last stops on their route.
