| The closest heat sink I have to compare against would be the Scythe Mine. But it's just not in the same class. Plus the Delta just won't fit the Scythe and the others fans are really bigger than the Scythe so most of the air is cooling nothing. Hopefully I'll be getting some newer heatsinks to review that will provide a better comparision in the future. As for the noise levels. I need to fix up a quiet room to measure the noise levels. Right now I just have to much ambient noise to get some reliable measurements. But the Delta's are listed at 59 dBA each. | ||

It's just nice to have a temp from another known heatsink to see the temp difference in a specific case. But how annoying would you rate the noise from those delta's?

| A few comments: When did it become accepable for an admin of an affiliate site (oops, no it's not) to pimp their reviews and site on our forums? There are proper channels to post a full review, namely, in the members review section, as a member of the staff, or as news of an affiliate review. Posting a full review with pictures plastered with your site's logo and providing a link in every other one of your posts is simply unprofessional. Many sites don't even allow links to other sites on their forums, much less an entire review. Sorry, but I think it's in bad taste, regardless of your intentions. The review: -Heat sink is lower case. -If those temps in your graphs aren't dT temps, they are meaningless. Say the ambient temps were held constant throughout the review and I'll call you a liar. -Real world testing does not provide absolute performance numbers, ergo, resuts are only meaningful when they are compared with those of other heat sinks. -No detailed testing procedure. | I wonder how much difference it makes between using one or two 120mm fans? For example, in comparing this HSF with the EnzoTech Ultra-X, which uses 1 fan and four 8mm heatpipes. What's the diameter of the Gemini II's heatpipes? That might make a fair difference. At any rate, the Gemini II isn't my idea of perfect. It's much too large, and will cause fitment problems for a lot of cases. And for my current project, I won't need two 120mm fans to help cool my other components; I'm already incorporating incidental cooling with a custom drive tunnel cooler, not to mention the huge 220mm side panel intake fan. What I *like* about this design: FINALLY it seems like HSF manufacturers are coming to their senses and not just building them taller and taller so that they need a hole cut out of the side panel just to be installed. | ||

Exactly, and yet it is STILL overkill. Honestly, if will fit in the horizontal configuration (which I don't think it will because of the K8 adapter) I would use it in a heartbeat simply for the extra mobo cooling with my heatpipe designed mobo cooling (thanks Asus?).
