| If you have a firm grasp on PC hardware in general and have above average english skills then you may be who we are looking for! We are looking for 2 (maybe 3) moderators to screen reviews which members will be posting and then approve or reject them as necessary. If an article is rejected you will need to notify the poster as to why it was rejected and what they need to improve on before it will be approved. Minor spelling and grammar mistakes can be handled by the moderator. HTML knowledge is a plus as well as familiarity with the vBulletin forum script. This is a volunteer position and the ideal candidate would be able to approve/reject submitted articles on a daily basis and work along with the other moderators that will be chosen for the task. Leave a post with some general summary of your skills as they pertain to this job and how often you expect to be able to fulfill your duties as moderator. ![]() | ||

| I would do this. As far as HTML goes, I can make websites with it in notepad (I personally hate the version of FrontPage I have) but it doesn't wind up looking too pretty. I am aware of vBulletin, to the point that it shouldn't pose a problem. I could fulfill the duties of a moderator pretty much anytime after 5pm EST to 12:30PM EST, more than that on Friday and Saturday. Edit: I try to stay up to date on hardware, even though I cannot afford the PIMP stuff, such used to be my major lagging, until I figured it out. As I said earlier, I feel the need to give back to this community, that turned me from n00b to an excellent computer enthusiast. Last edited by TiZakit; 07-April-04 at 08:50 PM. | I'd be fine with this. Like, 2-3 reviews a day to edit and approve? That wouldn't be so bad. I'm online enough, basically anytime after 4 PM and before 11 PM CST, more than that on weekends and friday nights (I have no social life, I'll admit it). Just for clarification, this would just be like editing grammar and spelling and the like and making sure everything is balanced and not clearly mistaken (ie "these temps are way high, maybe using thermal paste would help")? Just tryin to help where I can EDIT: Forgot to mention, I have pretty good HTML skills, I can do pretty much anything with it you want. Last edited by jcarkeys; 07-April-04 at 07:17 PM. | ||

| I'll take it, I have excellent English skills, even a little German, even my own English teacher in my seinor year said I wrote at a college level. Always used to tell me how much she enjoyed reading my work. As far as hardware knowledge, I know a lot, especially the older stuff but everyday I learn something new. And if I don't know it I know where to get it ![]() I know very little HTML but I can learn ![]() | ||

| I'd be willing to help with what I can, when I can... I dont know squat about HTML, I'm not really on the cutting edge of hardware, but I can pert near fiks up sum grammatical eras if'n yant me to. Maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea to make your mod picks, then have a contact list of members willing to help out in case the mods are pressed for time, or just want extra input. | ||

| I'll apply for it. I think my overall tech knowledge is pretty good and I spend a lot of time reading reviews and trying to stay up to date on hardware and the like. I'm afraid I lack much in the way of HTML but I know vBulletin very well and I'd like to think that my English is pretty damn good as well. | ||

being a network manager does not automatically make you a hardware guru, but thanks for the DHTML... no offense, but i think at some point in each of our lives, we were all "network managers". | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I would love to be a moderator for the PimpRig community. I have had 2 years of Honors English behind me, and I believe that I am up to date with the hardware scene. I think that my dedication to PR has been demonstrated in my one and a half years here with what I think is helpful posts. With regards to HTML and vBulletin, I am sorry to say I dont have much experience. I would be willing to learn though. I can be a moderator from about 6-10PM at nights, and for about half an hour in the morning. As soon as volleyball is over, I can expand that to about 4:30 to 10:30 PM at night. Of course, when summer is here, I would be available most anytime of the day. Thank you for the chance at giving back something to the community. | ||

| Figured I will throw my proverbial hat in the ring. 1. Spend most of my time reading tech sites, trade magazines and PR. 2. Original major in college was english. I changed my major to Comp Sci when I realized that working at a Starbucks was not a good idea. (stab stab to you guys with english majors) 3. I do some HTML, my wife is more proficient in it than I am. 4. When I worked in IT alot of my time was spent re-writing user manuals so that anyone within the company could install, configure and operate printers, print servers and general peripherals. 5. Availilabe most of the day through email. I can only put in serious personal time on the computer when I return home from work at around 5:15 to 5:30. My only time restraints are on Tuesday from 7:00 to about 8:45 because I am at Bible Study and Church on Sunday from 2:00 to about 4:45. | ||

| I also volunteer to help with the reviews and to moderate the forum. I have a very strong knowledge of HTML (it is almost second nature) and I am also familiar enough to be able to use vBulletin without any problems. I will be able to learn it well, quickly so to perform required tasks. I am available to review submitted articles every night and would be able to go over submitted articles regularly. I would also be available to moderate the forum throughout the day. I am also very easy to work with and am easy to get in contact with or to get messages to. | ||
