Nvidia 8800GTX scores poping up...

Here are some early numbers on the 8800GTX....yah yah yah I know they are from the Inquirer but these are all I could find for the time being.

Leadtek, EVGA Geforce 8800 GTX tested, even in SLI

if these are (real) the numbers with a FX 62 I would love to see some numbers with a x6800

If you guys find any other numbers post them so we can

over them

Looks like my ol' 7800gtx will be going to antiques roadshow soon

The GTS is pretty weedy, when you use AA.

X1950XTX beats the 8800GTS @ VHD+HDR+AA (8800GTX can't open HDR + AA in oblivion) - XtremeSystems Forums

Also, we have sparkle 8800GTX's at microdirect (not allowed to sell them yet) there stupidly big cards, probably 50% bigger than my GTO2.

Those look like driver problems to me, also I think it is kinda silly benching a card that is comming out 4Q 2006/1Q 2007 with 3DMark 2003.

The GTS beats the x1950xtx by over 2000 points in 06

But then again it all seems like a numbers race now, my 7800GTX still can preform very well with all the games I play with it. I really want to see some 'next gen' games on the 8800s ie Unreal 2007 and Crysis, then I think we will get an idea of where the card stands, and by then we might have some numbers on the r600

I have seen that....it looks like with nVidia's 680i chip set you will have the option of using one of the 3 pci-e slots for a 3rd card that can be used for a PPU. well that is what they might have planed for down the road.

They'll be using the same drivers as everyone else as everyone is using the 8800 launch driver.

the article doesnt talk about the 680i chip ...

is about the G80 .... where a single video card can assist the main cpu ...

which would in theory put it as a dual cpu system ....
