Great read, thx for the info. based on these articles Server side = AMD should do well considering that when running dozens of servers a business is always conserned with power usage/costs. Consumer/Desktops = For now and the near future , Intel is gonna stay on top and AMD will continue to lose money unless thier pricing is just too attractive to pass up. ( Of course , I'll do my part and buy an AMD setup  . Dont tell Intel tho  ** Intel Fanboy ) | |

Nice to see AMD is back in the game. By the looks of it, AMD might be giving Intel a run for their money. Maybe their not the best, but they might be equals. Still, in order to come ahead, they would have to move to 45nm Now, and not in 2008. Although, I do wish they would hurry up on their "Fusion" technology. But now I cant wait till AM3 Comes out, atleast If I get a AM2 board, a AM3 proc can be used in it. But is AM3 going to be quad core? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Fusion is suppossedly slated for a 09-10 release so you've still got a while to go for that. And yes AM3 will be quad core. If you're interested Anandtech's got an article detailing all of AMD's plans for the next couple of years here. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
