Default Price for Powdercoat

I've seen many cases powdercoated and always been curious how much does this cost? Looking for the price of it on a full size tower inside and out.

Thrasher2 recently powder coated his "Spinner" rig and he said it cost him $120, but who knows if that's a standard price...he tends to get hooked up. I've never gotten anything powder coated before, so I couldn't really tell you from personal experience.

Thanks for the replies. 120$ isnt that bad considering if u paint a case inside and out thats quite alot of spray paint and time spent.

I was just going to say something about that.. back when I was looking to casemod I wanted to get it done too, but since I've been rebuilding my talons so frequently I just got an oven and started doing it myself. I got a gun from harbor freight and it works fairly simple and is real easy to do. Ive done pullys, alternator housings, fuel rails, valve covers, egr components, plates/sheilds, brackets, engine mounts, pretty much everything in an engine bay all with great results.

I recommend everyone interested to try it because its alot easier then you may think and saves you alot of dough. I container of powder from harbor freight is like 7 dollars and you can get them online cheaper and in alot of cool colors/finishs for cheaper even. One container from harbor freight will cover about the same as 4 cans of spray paint..

I looked into this. The killer is you have to have a large oven to "bake" it. And you can't use your own because the fumes or something stay in it.

I don't know anything about this but I saw it somewhere else. It looks pretty cool though.

Yeah, that's the problem with the DIY method. However, if you had access to a used, crappy oven (that you wouldn't be baking your Pillsbury croissants in), you're good to go.
