| Hey I have an old ultra case I have already pinted it a green with krylon paint and also sprayed it with mystic prism effect lol I was just wondering i never put any clear coat on it now its considerably colder now then it was but i was just wondering if i did it outside would it still dry properly if i put clearcoat on it outside .... its just a cheap clear coat im not expecting any kind of professional job by any means but the clear coat is just tremclad clear satin it says it can be used on metal and stuff on the back but also says it can be used on paint to give it a shine but i was just curios about painting in those temps any help would be appreciated | ||

| First, I would put the can of clear in some hot water for a few minutes. This will give you a better spray. As far as the cold temps go, painting outside should be fine. You did say you don't expect pro results, but it should be okay. If you have a warm garage, or at least warmer than outside, I would take it in there to dry. Keep in mind that most clear coats tend to give off more fumes, so don't take it into your house.
