Default Why does this keep happening?

Ive decided to paint my flash drive, a couple times the flash drive has been sticking to the cardboard or the newspaper and it keeps runing my paint job. Is it because the paint is too thick when it comes out? I usually dont let the can sit in hot water for a couple minutes.

Heres what I mean:

It's because the paint was still wet, obviously.
You should hang it from one of the taped ends while painting and untill it dries.

lol ya that is one of the number one things not to do. Put wet paint on anyhting that is soft and can rip. I will admit i have done the same thing you just did but i learned from it and realized that its just easier and beter to hang ur work.

You also may have been putting the coats on too thick. Try using MANY fine mist layer.

Whenever I painted my thumbscrews for my Tsunami case I was in the same situation. You can check out the thread if you want to see it but I took a cereal box and cut clits for the screws to fit in so that they would stand up. It worked like a charm...

Nope, Its happened when I let the paint dry. It sticks to it like bacon on a ungreased pan. I was thinking of using wax paper, but I may try standing it up. My only fear is that I might get paint drips (or blobs) on it.

I would try standing them up and using very light coats. This will minimize the risk of drips.

If you get drips of any sort, you're putting it on wayyyy too thick.
