| First real paint project I just got bored and decided to paint my keyboard and mouse. I had a can of Krylon Gold that I'd used for some grills and against my own judgement, I went for it. I did the mouse and after applying a light coat of the gold, I sanded it and applied the finish coats. I then polished it with Mother's Plastic Polish amd WOW was I impressed with myself. Came out with a deep gloss finish like a bowling ball. I then had to try the keyboard. I screwed up the first coat and had pot marks all over it. Nopt having any real primer, I coated it again and then sanded with 400 grit followed by an 800 grit wet sand and repainted. After several coats, I polished it out after 24 hours with Mother's again and while it's not as deep a look as the mouse, it was as perfect as I could ask for. I may tear the board down again and hit it with a clear coat and another polish, but I'll have to be really bored to yank all of the keys again. Let me know what ya' think. |
