couldn't find 360 or 500grit

Well, i went to home depot and menard's and neither of the two had 360 or 500grit. The closest was 320, 400, and 600 wetordry....They did have 220 though. What should i do? Sand with 220, then 320, then 400, then 600?

That'll do fine!

I use 220/320 to pep the raw surface, 400 to wetsand the primer and first colour coat and 600 for the top colour coats.

Afterthat I use 800, 1000, 1500 and 2000 for the clear

alright, thanks man. I've been testing on scrap pieces from my comp case (drive bay cutouts under the covers) and i'll try again. I'm using metallic silver color and i got a couple deep scratches visible so i'll keep trying stuff...i went from 320 to 600...so that explains it.

I don't know what the U.S. equivalant of Canadian Tire is, or if there is one for that matter, but auto places are a good bet. Canadian Tire is not completely an automotive place, but they do have a large selection of 3M sand papers.

In the area where I live I couldn't find anything for sandpaper. I was forced to buy online..
