| Apex Techie Lite | I want to put a design (It's the design on the left puck) on modders mesh. My question concerns the feasability of this. Will the metal portion show up enough of the image? Should I use two layers to get more coverage (my worry with this is if the air transfer will be high enough)? All help greatly appreciated. Thanks | |

| What if you put the cutout image on a denser mesh material, like metal window screening material, and then put that on top or underneath the modder's mesh? Or you could cut out the image on the modder's mesh and outline the edges in a high contrast paint... | ||

| By no means am I a "pro modder" but I have a couple questions and ideas that might get this thing rolling. Depending on the size of the image is what will tell you how visible it will be on a selected surface. The less physical surface area a image has contact to, the larger the image has to be for proper visibility. Also, what kind of modders mesh have you in mind? here are some different kinds- mnpctech's "original modder's mesh" dragonmodz's Assortment of hex, diamond, oval and round. acryan's meshxpanel. (available for sale HERE ). For a 120mm fan grill or smaller, a high surface area mesh would work the best (mesh with the most visible metal per sq. Inch). If your making a full panel from mesh, then a mesh with a little less surface area would work too (depending on the logo size your painting). If you want to do more than just paint the mesh by itself, jobistober's idea would work. hope this helps some. | ||

| Apex Techie Lite | The image would be on a roughly 5" x 7" cutout, so if it was to be single layered, it would have to be the denser of the different meshes. The DragonModz round mesh looks decently dense. I can't really tell from the pictures how dense the AC Ryan stuff is, but the Origional mesh looks like it isn't quite dense enough. | |

the acryan stuff is very dense, you can see it used in my worklog (link in sig) so either that or the dragonmodz round would work good. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
