make sure the drain valve is closed you should store it opened and make sure you have a close valve for your outlet air

Remember when your mixing the paint its normally a 50/50 mix of paint to thinners,And you have to make sure that its not too thick or to thin,It would clog up the gun,Or just would be too thin and pretty much drip off the computer

Ok,Well you you see that black knob by the smaller of the 2 gauges,That adjusts the presure that will be held in the tank,I cant quite remember what sort of presure you use for painting at the moment,Once you have your presure set and the tank gets to that presure it will auto cut off,and will start up when it drops to a certien point

Im pretty sure its around 20-25 PSI for Painting but i maybe wrong

the gauge on the left is your tank pressure and the one on the right is your line pressure. the black box above the tank pressure gauge is the pressure switch. the pressure switch will automatically turn the compressor off and on when the red lever on it is in the "on" or "auto" position (usually a 20psi drop before the unit will turn on). the black knob above the line pressure gauge is your pressure reguator-turning it left or right will increase or decrease the line pressure (the pressure the spray gun will run at).

don't forget to remove the plastic plug, that hole is your air intake. you might also want to look into a filter to put on there. not only will it clean the air, it will also make it run quieter.

what about the spray gun? any pics?

Between 20-25 PSI,Get a bit of metal or somthing ot use to test on untill you get the spray set up all right so it doesnt spray it on too thick or too thin, hehe we use our WIP race car in the shed for testing the spray gun out,Just play around with the settings untill you get them right, also there will be a knob on the gun which will adjust the spray from wide to short sprays, your normally want it wider so it covers more area but also gives it a light coat each time to prevent runs,So make sure you do a few light coats insted of 1 heavy one
