So I just read through this guide and I had a question.

It seems like clearcoat is not applied after usign the rubbin compound and machien glaze. Is that pretty typical of a normal paintjob or should the clearcoat be applied after...even though I don't think it will stick well.

clearcoat is designed to go over basecoat without any sanding in between.it can be sprayed over other types of paint but you have to sand the ( i use 600 - 2000 grit sandpaper.depending on the paint i am clearing) surface of the paint you are about to spray with clearcoat.
remeber that clearcoat is a 2 pack paint(needs a hardener mixed in before spraying)
always use a spraymask when using any 2 pack paints

It's an awesome guide, imho.... It's just sad one can't buy those 3M products here in the NL (Europe)
in automotive stores... they have got 3M products here but the ones used in the guide aren't supposed
to be bought by consumers (so the 3M distributors here seem to think)...

Luckily a good friend of mine is a car mechanic, hopefully he can get these "wholesale" products
for me...
