I personally like Duplicolor paints. They're easy to find, relatively inexpensive, and have a nice variety of colors and finishes. One note though: if you're looking at scratch-resistance, you may want to think about adding a clearcoat finish to the job, and at least 2-3 layers of CC at that. Once it cures, you can use rubbing compound and polish to make it really shine.

Testors model paint is what I use and alot of clear coat! But I have used Duplicolor as well and I didn't mind it at all.

Krylon works fine for painting a case, just use LOTS of clearcoat and rub it out for a nice, shiny finish.

I like Duplicolor paints and like everyone said use clearcoat! Also use the same line of their products, don't mix enamel with laquer unless you like that crackle effect.
