Paint Fix!!!

I painted my chenming 301 series aluminum case red on the interior. I used Dupli-Color Auto Spray that was suggested by a friend. Then he told me to put a clear coat on and it looks like crap. For the clear coat i used Dupli-Color Mirage Top Coat. It looks like a bunche of little whitish dots of spray paint not giving it the solid red thing i was looking for. If anyone knows what i should do please tell me. He suggest sandpapering it down some then putting on just another coat of red and then trying another clear coat but i dont want to. Will it be bad if i just put on a coat of red Dupli-Color paint on???

That mirage topcoat is meant to be used with the mirage system and I am not sure how it would react with other paints.

did you pray the paint in a cold area?

If you want it done right, it's time to get out the paint thinner and strip it back to the bare metal and start over.
