How about letting the paint dry before turning it back on?

Seriously, you should pay attention to how thick your paint coat is, as it will affect balance.

What are you trying to accomplish with the paint other than something to do?

You should also use a scotchbrite pad to scuff the surface so the paint will stick well. You can also use a adhesion promoter like bulldog, you can get it from the auto parts store.

I went back and read the old thread but still couldn't find the damn Badger!!
